In one sense, I can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by. Lily has been out of school for almost a month and she's been to sleepaway camp and back. On the other hand, time seems to stand still when you're doing the working parents' dance of finding summer camps, coordinating play dates and generally feeling resentful that summer feels no different than any other time of year when you've got work that needs doing... ha ha. That said, we had a really nice trip up North last week and we've got a mini-vacay planned in Santa Barbara for August (with Maryte and Oskar!!!!!) that I am living for! And despite the crazy weeks, we've had some really nice relaxing weekends at the beach down the road and our Tarzana pool house (AKA grandma Judy's and grandpa Tom's house).

| On the 2nd to last day of the school year I decided that I was in desperate need of a Disney Day with my girl Lil. I love that Jason is old enough to go with us now but it does put a damper on what we're able to do. This was such a fun day since we got to do all the rides we wanted and didn't have to worry about anyone's nap time. |

| Rosie is just the best. She is so sweet and funny; always in a happy mood and ready to laugh and smile. |
| She turned 10 months old on the 12th of this month! She has 3 teeth, crawls like the wind, pulls herself up to standing, and even says "peekaboo" from time to time. She also lets you know what she wants, VERY loudly! |
| Enjoying some fresh picked strawberries (stem and all) from the Tarzana strawberry patch after a swim this past weekend. |
| Making his "sad monkey face" or as Lily calls it "the cutest face in the world." Jason is fond of pulling this one out when he's told horrible things such as "it's bedtime" or "you need to eat your dinner." |
| Jason has taught Rose the art of the morning couch selfie. |
| I LOVE this photo that Miriam took. Rosie looks so happy. |
| Lily had another amazing year at Kennolyn, including Boardwalk day where she won this Warriors toy. Like most 9 year olds, she's not big on details when asked but slowly, over the past few weeks, she's told us bits and pieces from camp. She said this was her best cabin group yet, with lots of laughs and close friendships. |
| After lunch at Pete's Brass Rail in Danville, we happened across this public piano that the kids had to play. Afterward Lily remarked that Danville was "such a nice little community," which had me in tears. She cracks me up. |
| Jason was sooooo happy to see his big sis after 2 weeks apart. He ran up the steps into Lily's arms and happily sat with her and her friends for some camp songs. |
| Lily holding her baby cousin Max! He was so sweet and despite being only 2 1/2 months old at the time really seemed to like the kids, especially Lil. Rosie gave him smiles and Jason rocked his cradle a few times and helpfully pointed out "Max is crying" when Max cried. |
| Playing with water balloons after we got back from Walnut Creek last week. We'd been in the car all day and it was so hot! The kids wanted to play with water balloons and water guns (or pew-pews as Jason calls them). It looked so fun that I threw on my swimsuit and played right alongside with them. |
| Trying to get a nice photo of all Berger Macniak cousins together... at least we got a photo! |
