In Like a Lion...

I always loved that phrase when I was an East-Coaster but it hasn't rung true since.  March in Chicago is in like a lion and out like a slightly less wet and cold lion.  Meanwhile, the lion doesn't even exist in L.A.  It's more in like Garfield, out like Garfield with sunglasses.  Still, it's been "cold" for L.A. lately, which has us all complaining that we actually need to, gasp, wear a jacket when we go outside.  Jackets are for the birds, I tell you!

Anyway, it's been a hot minute since I posted about the kids.  Work was pretty busy in January and February but it's slowed down this week, which has been so nice. Our weekends have been wide open and revolved around Lily's basketball games.  Watching 8 year olds play basketball is a special kind of torture.  They're all terrified to take a shot and the ball gets stolen on every single play.  Still, she's really enjoying it and she's starting to get her confidence up enough to actually take shots and get in the mix more.  Jason, on the other hand, tries to run onto the court and get into the mix at every turn.  A few weeks ago they had to blow the whistle due to "Baby on court!"  Whoops.

These two are little monkeys, wrestling and playing all the time now.

Checking out some summer camp options last week.  I can't believe it's already time to start stressing out about who's going to watch my kid all summer.

And trying on Lily's BB8 beanie.

He never stays still long enough for me to cuddle him, let alone long enough to capture photographic evidence!  This was rare.

Enjoying a cupcake for my birthday a few weeks ago.

And finally, here is a video of Jason gleefully giggling at Lily's antics at Grimaldi's last week.  Everything she does is comic gold!
