Kauai- Day Five

Today was our catamaran cruise up the Na Pali Coast.  Lils had never been on a boat before but her sea legs were innate.  She loved it!

We didn't see as many dolphin pods as we hoped (a friend who did this last month told me they saw hundreds) but this pod got very close.  One of the crew members took Lily to the very front of the boat so she had the best view of all!

This little guy kept showing off for us. They actually respond to clapping and cheering so Lily had fun clapping while he jumped around.

This is a Humpback whale calf peaking above water to see who we were.

The Na Pali Coast is just unreal.

It's full of beaches like this that are only accessible via boat or an 11 mile hike!

This archway was apparently featured in the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

More Humpbacks!

And a final wave goodbye from one of them.

Matt went snorkeling while I stayed on board with Lily but then she said "I want to go in the ocean" so she joined Matt for a swim.
We had such an exciting day on the boat that we stayed on the resort property for dinner instead of venturing out like we have been doing.  After dinner we walked through the small gardens at the Kaiahuna Plantation next door and then made our way back to the room.  Tomorrow is a do-nothing day where our only plan is to maybe rent a cabana on the beach.  :)
