Reunited
Today was a great day because Lily and her Ma-Maw were finally reunited! As soon as Lily saw me pushing Mom out of the elevators, she ran toward us screaming "Ma-Maw!!!!" She gave Grandma Judy lots of hugs and showed off with plenty of goofy hijinks.
Judy's feeding tube was removed on Friday so she's able to eat liquids and semi-liquids now. She saved her pudding for Lily though. :)
When Grandma blew bubbles, Lily got so excited that she squealed and jolted her arms up, drenching the left side of her head in bubbles. Luckily, she thought it was as hilarious as we did.
Running around the plaza level at Cedars Sinai.
Lily had about 7 snacks in the 2 hours we visited with Grandma Judy.
She loved bouncing the ball on the concrete.
She also loved the statue of the mother and child in the plaza.
Lily unsuccessfully tried to push Grandma in her wheelchair...
... but still had fun playing peekaboo from behind the chair.
We had a really great visit and Mom is doing so well after having a surgery Friday night (to insert a permanent stint between her intestine and liver) and another on Saturday (to drain the large pseudocyst that was underneath her liver). She says she feels so much better than before the surgeries and she looks so much better too. She hasn't had any nausea since the surgeries.
Today was her first time outside in about a month and she said it felt divine. We spent about two hours basking in the sunshine and enjoying the cool late afternoon breeze. It was truly wonderful to see Lily and Mom reunited. We all needed this visit very much!
