Bad Weekend
So this weekend was supposed to be our super fun family trip to Portland for my friend Molly's wedding. United Airlines had other plans for us... Even though we had our boarding passes in hand and arrived at the airport at 6 AM Friday morning (for our 7:30 AM flight), United's computer systems halted us checking Lily's car seat. It's a long story but we ended up missing our flight, being placed on standby for an 11:45 flight, not making that flight, and then being told that the chances of us making it to Portland on United or any other airline that day or the next were really slim. I felt horrible having to cancel on Molly the day before her wedding! All weekend I've been so sad, thinking about all of the fun that was going on there without us. :(
To top it off, United managed to send our bags (with our house and car keys inside) & Lily's car seat to Portland without us. Matt had to take a cab to our apartment, get let in by our landlord, then drive back to the airport to pick Lily up in his car, and I drove my car home.
It was a bad day that turned into a bad weekend as Lily and I both got colds that kept us on the couch for most of the weekend.

| Our sick den all weekend. |
| I don't know how much of a party we'll be able to have for Lily's 2nd birthday but there will be homemade Sesame Street party hats! I just need to roll and staple them and we'll be all set. |
