Last week, I found these adorable black and pink New Balance sneakers for Lils. She was not having the photo shoot, though. These pictures of her with her overalls and sneakers give you an idea of what a mover and shaker she's become.

She's a little like Lenny from Of Mice and Men in that she doesn't understand her own strength. Somehow she flipped her music table on its side and became stuck inside the capsized frame.

Since we've had to take everything off of the kitchen shelves, we left some baby friendly wooden spoons for her to play with.

Pasta is quickly becoming her favorite meal. Another favorite is blueberries. She ate about 20 of them for a snack today!

Since it looks like Matt's going to be working soon, we decided to enjoy a family day at the zoo. I had it planned out so Lily would nap, we'd eat lunch and then leave at around 1. Well, Lily slept a bit longer than usual and then we hit the worst traffic ever on the 101 to 134, so it took us about an hour to get to the zoo (it's usually about 20 minutes away). By the time we actually got inside the gates, it was almost 2:30 and the zoo closed at 4 today. :( But we did buy a membership so we can go back and see the animals any time. Of what we saw, Lily seemed to like the seals the best. She was also really transfixed by the parrot but jumped every time he chirped at her!

We made tacos last night but we're still heading out to Sole y Luna with Matt tonight. Tomorrow we're meeting some Chicago friends for brunch in Venice so it will be a social weekend. Tom and Judy are in San Diego for a weekend getaway so we need to keep Lily occupied so she doesn't miss them too much!

Oh, and check out her rainbow shorts! I love Target...
