Lily's fussiness/gassiness continues... She's had an awful time of it over the past week- constant nursing and not nearly enough sleep. Actually, that describes the state of things for both of us.
We brought her to the doctor on Monday and she checked out perfectly healthy- no ear infection and no cold. We were relieved but puzzled as to why she's been so cranky. The nurse practitioner said it could be due to an increase in food volume and her digestive system needing time to adjust. While we were there, they gave her her shots and took her 2 month measurements so we didn't need to go back for a separate appointment this week.
Lily weighed in at 10.5 pounds (50th percentile) and was 23 1/4 inches (75th percentile).
It looks like she's turned a corner today though, since she slept fairly well last night and has been asleep for the past 3 hours. 3 hour naps were par for the course until 2 weeks ago so hopefully she's returning to her old routine.

Asleep on Dad's chest. She's always enjoyed sleeping in our arms but for the past week she's pretty much demanded it.

In her pumpkin onesie from Great Aunt Caren. I found the pants & hat at Target and the booties were handmade by Matt's friend Job's wife.

Big smiles for Dad right before bath time! She really loves her bath now. She seems to know that being naked means that her bath is approaching. On the flip-side, she's learned that the blue nasal aspirator means something is going to be up her nose imminently. Now when she sees me pick it up, she starts crying and backpedaling against the changing table to try to avoid it.

In her Bambi outfit from Richard, our landlord. She looks so sweet in it! She's growing so fast. When I saw the outfit on the rack, it looked so big but it's really just about the right size. This week she outgrew 2 stretchies!
We're having Jess, Travis & Jess' Mom Cindy over for some playoff baseball and dinner tonight. I'm looking forward to some adult socializing after a week spent indoors (the weather has been rainy and awful) with the bambina.
