Summer in the City
... er, the suburbs. After a serious (doesn't Matt look serious?) Saturday learning how to save our unborn child's life with CPR and the like, we spent Sunday in Winnetka with my cousins. We haven't seen them in over two months, which is probably the longest stretch we've ever gone without a visit, and sure enough, the kids all looked taller and older, not to mention tanner!
Matt about to pound the baby dummy's back in an anti-choking maneuver.
Jacqueline's leg, Nicholas and Allison building a "giant swimming pool" by the water.
Jacqueline in a Baywatch run.
Allison, taking a break from cartwheeling to smile for a photo.
Me, attempting to get a bump tan. I'm not sure it worked but I didn't get a bump burn, so it's all good.
Janet and her mini-me, Allison.
After the beach, we had a great dinner in their backyard. It was beyond pleasant to listen to the wind in the trees and just enjoy being outside. The weather this summer has been less than ideal (it's rained or been overcast at least one weekend day each week so far) but today's weather was pretty much perfect. The brat's Mark grilled weren't bad either!
